The South Shore YMCA Natural Science Center is renowned for our high-quality programs. Although best known for our pond and woodland school programs, we offer a complement of subjects and formats for adults, families and organizations. Whether you choose a nature walk, prefer a lively lecture, or need a speaker, there is a program for you.
Our habitat exhibits allow you to explore and visit live inhabitants of a pond and woodland. Indoor exhibits and outdoor interpretive trails increase the knowledge and appreciation of our natural resources. Watch us feed our animals, join us for a hike, or enjoy our hands-on activities.
School Programs
Environmental education programs are offered for children in preschool through twelfth grade. Programs are held at the Science Center, either at your school or at other sites such as the seashore or conservation lands. All programs are connected to the Massachusetts Science and Technology/Engineering curriculum frameworks.
