WHAT IT IS
- THINGAMAJIG ® is a free Invention Convention program for kids ages 5-14 designed to allow youth to utilize their strategic thinking and creative-expression skills and be inspired through STEM
HOW IT WORKS
- Those interested in participating can register online by visiting southshorenaturalsciencecenter.org. Click HERE to register.
- Participants will be presented with specific problems and challenged to design an invention to solve them using recycled materials (Details on the specific Invention Convention challenges will be provided when registering)
- The program will culminate with an Invention Convention on Thursday, August 9 from 10am-2pm at the Quincy YMCA Branch, where kids will participate in hands-on exhibits, challenges and workshops
WHO CAN PARTICIPATE
- The YMCA THINGAMAJIG ® Invention Convention program is open to all kids ages 5-14!
- Kids attending South Shore YMCA Summer Day Camps who would like to participate in the THINGAMAJIG ® Invention Convention will have the opportunity to work on their inventions with support from their counselors throughout the summer
