Explore the Trails!
Join us for guided maple sugaring walks at the South Shore YMCA Natural Science Center. This family-friendly event will lead participants along a storybook trail, observing tapped maple trees and learning about New England’s maple sugaring season. Discover how sap is turned into syrup, and taste the difference between sap and syrup.
Children must be accompanied by an adult at all times. Best for adults and families – children age 5 and up. Please register each individual attending. Participants will meet in the Science Center lobby (48 Jacobs Lane, Norwell). This event will be held snow or shine (may be canceled in the event of severe weather). Please dress for the weather! We do not recommend strollers on the Science Center trails.
