As spring finally arrives, with the return of the buzzing bees, comes an exciting new project for the José Carriero Children’s Garden- we will be hatching chicks! A hatching in March will be followed by a second hatch beginning in late April, and each group of chicks will be cared for at the Science Center for almost 4 weeks before finding a new home at a local farm. During the egg incubation and chick growing phases, students of the Nature Center Preschool and members of the on-site 4-H group “Friends of a Feather” will be hands-on with this fun and educational project.
