Explore the EcoZone!
Grab your young explorers and join us for weekly adventures at the South Shore YMCA Natural Science Center EcoZone during EcoZone Exploration. The EcoZone museum features interactive exhibits focused on southeastern Massachusetts’s wetlands, woodlands, and meadow ecosystems. This drop-in, self-guided experience allows you and your young learner to enjoy all the exciting features of the EcoZone. Kids will love to see the live turtles, fish, and carnivorous plants in Coe’s greenhouse, and to complete our seasonal scavenger hunts. The tunnel underneath the turtle pond exhibit allows children to crawl through, peer up at turtles from below, and watch them swim.
An Environmental Educator will be on-site each week to answer your questions. Optional story time will be offered at 10:30 am for any attendees who wish to participate.
