Later this summer (what am I saying? Summer hasn’t even officially started yet…) we’ll be welcoming our Explorers to the 2014 Nature Adventures Summer Camp here at the Science Center. Our Explorers are in grades 6 and 7 and have one thing in common: thirst for adventure.
Lucky for them, we have three separate adventures planned, in three themes: Marine Biology, Survival Skills and Earth and Sky. They’ll spend the early parts of each week wandering to appropriate destinations, and then will end up on overnight camp outs on the Boston Harbor Islands, the perfect place to study marine life, to practice building a fire and to gaze at the night sky during the Perseid meteor shower.
Out and about is the theme, education is the goal. We hope that by the time our Explorers are done with their 2014 summer camp adventures they’ve found new places, new dreams and new things about themselves. Check out our Explorers programs in this year’s camp brochure!
