Had some random person poked his head into Vine Hall on Tuesday, the question would quickly have arisen: have we been invaded by dome-building aliens from outer space?
In truth, outer space had something to do with it. During our Earth and Sky weeks – in which we are focusing on Geology and Astronomy with our camp kids – we reached out to the Cape Cod Children’s Museum and their Star Lab, a traveling, indoor, inflatable planetarium.
After a quick briefing on important things like removing shoes and how well sound travels in a small dome, our interpreter took us on a journey through the stars, and into the stories behind the constellations.
Was it worth the trip to outer space? You decide!
