Explore the EcoZone!
Explore the EcoZone! The EcoZone museum at the South Shore Y Natural Science Center features interactive exhibits focused on southeastern Massachusetts’s wetlands, woodlands, and meadow ecosystems. Kids will love to see the live turtles, fish, and carnivorous plants. A tunnel underneath the turtle pond exhibit allows kids to crawl through and peer up at turtles from below. Museum visits are self-guided, with an Environmental Educator available to answer questions. A group story time is offered at 10:30am.
Note: The South Shore Natural Science Center is located on 30 acres of land, featuring six interpretive nature trails. During the week, our trails and land is dedicated to our Nature Center Preschool or Summer Camp programs and is not open to the public.
