Join us for a cranberry celebration!
Get ready to dive into the delightful world of cranberries at the South Shore YMCA Nature Center! At Cranberry Day we will celebrate 200+ years of cranberry cultivation in Massachusetts. It’s a day packed with activities for everyone, including cranberry-themed games, STEAM activities, and delicious cranberry treats.

Note: This event is primarily outdoors (rain or shine); please dress for the weather!
ACTIVITIES
- Dive into cranberry STEM activties, including harvest simulations
- Create a masterpiece in the cranberry craft zone
- Enjoy a cranberry cooking demonstration by Cooking with Abby (10- 11:30am)
- Visit the EcoZone Museum, featuring bog plants, turtles, carnivorous plants, and special exhibits
- Storytelling by Big Ryan’s Tall Tales (performances at 12:00pm and 12:30pm)
- Make your own cranberry trail mix
- Paint a rock for the Fairy Rock Garden
- Explore our StoryWalk, nature trails, & outdoor play areas at your own pace
- Relax with lawn games and music
- Tour the new Nature Center Preschool
- Guided walk to Jacobs Pond with Will Saunders, Norwell Conservation Agent (11:00 – 11:30am)
