??????????????????????????

We awoke this morning to uncountable joy! Apparently, a spider living in the building had her eggs hatch overnight, bringing numerous new bundles of long-legged excitement into the world.

The species in question is just that – in question. We know we colloquially call it a “Daddy Long Legs,” but that refers to several things, two distanced groups of arachnids and a crane fly. Only one is a spider, in the Pholcidae family, and this one could be any of 1000 species worldwide.

No matter what species she is, we proudly call her Mama Long Legs today!
