Sketching Hidden Natural Treasures

Science Center staff will unveil hidden gems from deep within the archival natural history collection, gathered over the last half century and present them for display. Members of the public are invited to bring their sketch pads and pencils to capture the essence of the species as their artistic hearts desire. Environmental educators will be on hand to explain the natural history of each item. Artifacts may include mounts, including the extinct Passenger Pigeon, furs, feathers, shells, nests and other items representing the natural world of the South Shore.
