Scouting Sundays: Animals Survive in Winter

Have you ever wondered how reptiles and amphibians survive freezing temperatures in the Winter? Join our Scouting Sunday to discover how! We will be bird watching, taking hikes, and investigating how Animals Survive in Winter. Try out the great Migration Challenge, put together your own animal tracking book, and more. These activities will help towards the completion of some of the following badges:

Girl Scouts – Between Earth and Sky, 3 Cheers for Animals, Hiker, Animal Habitats

Cub Scouts – Tigers in the Wild, Backyard Jungle, Fur, Feathers, and Ferns, Into the Wild, Into the Woods

Fees: $12 per scout (including siblings) and includes entrance into EcoZone.  Children must be accompanied by an adult chaperone.  Register as a group or a as an individual.  Individuals click HERE to register.  Scout groups can register by emailing Ben Hyland, bhyland@ssymca.org.  (Parents do NOT need to register)

Scouting Sundays are pre-arranged programs for Girl Scouts, Cub Scouts, and Boy Scouts aimed at individual scouts, dens and troops.  Programs are scheduled one Sunday each month from 2:00-4:00pm and highlight various nature-based hands-on activities and explorations.  Each month a  features a different theme.
