Pollinate New England Workshop

July 11 @ 1:00 pm - 4:00 pm

Free

Pollinate New England
Wednesday, July 11

Workshop:  1:00-4:00pm
Lecture:  6:00-8:30pm

Through a grant from through the New England Wildflower Society, SSNSC was selected as one of twelve sites to receive an installation of a native pollinator garden. Educators from NEWFS will be on hand to deliver a workshop and lecture.

Pollinators need native plants for food and habitat, and plants need pollinators. Without both, the entire food system is at risk. And right now, the birds, bats, bees, moths, and butterflies that pollinate plants are in crisis worldwide.  Join New England Wildflower Society for free educational programs to build awareness of the crisis and teach everyday homeowners how to plant their own native plant gardens to nurture the pollinators that all plants need to reproduce.
